SUMMER READING PROGRAMS 2024
Join us this summer for our summer reading programs for kids, teens, and adults. This summer reading program will feature the idea and practice of conservation: reduce, reuse and recycle. Don’t forget our wonderful events planned for all ages!
Adults: June 1—August 31
- For those 18 and older.
- Adults are welcome to join anytime during the program.
- Receive a book bag, bookmark, & a free book at registration.
- Pick up a paper log & track books read & activities completed to earn prizes.
- Each completed item earns entries into the prize drawing.
- Complete 4 items and earn an item from the prize box.
- Sponsored by the Friends of the James Kennedy Public Library.

Teens: June 3—July 27
- For students who have completed 6th—12th grades.
- Receive a free book at registration. Last day to register is July 25!
- Pick up a game board that includes challenges to read different types of books & use various services available at the library.
- For each color-coded set completed, the participant will earn an entry into the prize drawings.
- Complete extra challenges and earn more entries!

Children: June 3—July 16
- For children infant through 5th grade (completed). Last day to register is July 9!
- Many programs are sponsored by the Friends of the James Kennedy Public Library.

Kids age 3+
*Receive a free book at registration.
*Earn points and beads for reading and brag tags for every program that you attend.
*At the end of the summer reading program, tally up your points, and use your total summer reading points to buy prizes at our summer reading store!

Children under age 3
Complete the Read-With-Me Family Literacy Activities sheet to earn a free ice cream cone coupon and a toy (download it here or pick up at the library). Those who wish to complete a second Family Literacy Activities sheet will earn a book.
